Mola Mola Makua
The Makua is Mola Mola’s preamplifier, with room inside for an optional DAC and phono stage.

What Mola Mola says
Mola Mola describes the basic Makua as an extremely transparent gain stage with a programmable routing matrix. Every stage uses discrete amplifier modules in a little-known topology called single-ended driven differential.
Volume is set by relays that directly control the gain of the output stage, which Mola Mola says gives far greater dynamic range and linearity than a stepped attenuator. The chassis has room for an optional DAC and phono stage, and with the DAC fitted, which carries the Ethernet input, the Makua is Roon Ready certified.
What reviewers say
“I challenge you to find a preamp which sounds significantly better and not merely different, for anywhere close to the price.”
Grover Neville, pt.AUDIO
“But the Makua has that "hard to pin down" X-factor going for it, a stealth-like quality that elevates the preamp into the upper echelons of the very best components on the market, regardless of price.”
Maurice Jeffries, Positive Feedback, on the Makua with Kaluga monoblocks
