GTT Perspective · DeJitter It

Video, taken as seriously as audio.

The Apple TV X applies DeJitter It's engineering discipline — noise, jitter, power, isolation — to the video source.

Why we distribute a video streamer

A streaming video device in a reference system shares cables with the audio chain. The power supply and output stage it uses affect what reaches the display and the converter.

The Apple TV X starts with an Apple TV 4K and replaces the internal switch-mode power supply with a linear design. The engineering addresses the system as a whole — clock phase noise, chip supply rails, impedance matching — and the manufacturer describes a vast reduction of noise on the HDMI signal and across all digital data lines.

We distribute DeJitter It because the Apple TV X applies the same engineering discipline we rely on for audio networking to the video source. In our Private Listening Room, we can demonstrate what that means in a complete system.

What the Apple TV X actually does

01

Linear power supply

The standard switch-mode power supply is replaced with a linear design. Switch-mode supplies generate high-frequency noise that can travel along the HDMI cable into the display and the audio system. The linear supply addresses that noise at the source.

02

System-level noise reduction

The engineering addresses the Apple TV as a whole — CPU, RAM, SSD, Ethernet, HDMI. The manufacturer describes a vast reduction of noise on the HDMI signal, much cleaner eye patterns, and vastly lowered jitter on all digital data lines. The effect is not limited to the HDMI output.

03

Custom-crafted, limited production

Each Apple TV X is custom crafted in limited production, the assembly tuned to each unit by hand. The engineering includes a transmission-line strip filter built with high-purity solid silver wire, specific components placed at tested positions, and Cardas silver solder throughout.

Questions we hear in the listening room

Why does the video streamer matter in an audio system?

The streamer shares cables with the audio system. A standard Apple TV uses a switch-mode power supply that generates high-frequency noise reaching the display and the converter. The Apple TV X replaces that supply with a linear design and applies system-level engineering — clock phase noise, chip supply rails, impedance matching — to reduce noise across all digital data lines, including HDMI.

Is this just a modified Apple TV?

It starts with an Apple TV 4K, but the internal power supply is replaced with a linear design and the system is re-engineered at the component level — clock phase noise, supply rails, impedance matching. The modification is the product.

What makes the Apple TV X different from a standard Apple TV 4K?

The internal switch-mode power supply is replaced with a linear design using a hand-tuned transmission-line strip filter. The manufacturer describes a vast reduction of noise across all digital data lines — CPU, RAM, SSD, Ethernet, HDMI — not just the video output. Each unit is custom crafted in limited production.
