GTT Perspective · Kronos Audio
The reference, in a single tonearm.
Perpetual brings Kronos's counter-rotating platter architecture — the resonance control of the flagship Discovery — to a one-tonearm turntable.

Why counter-rotation matters
A turntable's job is to turn a record at an unwavering speed while adding nothing of its own. Kronos approaches that with physics: two counter-rotating platters whose rotational energies cancel, which reduces the forces that would otherwise reach the record and stylus interface.
Perpetual adapts the flagship Discovery's resonance-control architecture to a single-tonearm platform. The dual counter-rotating platters, the closed-loop speed control, the suspended chassis — the substance of the flagship — are all here.
We distribute Kronos Audio in North America because this is engineering we can stand behind and demonstrate. It is an original and coherent answer to analog playback, and the difference it makes is easy to hear in a resolving system.
What the engineering actually does
Counter-rotating platters
Two platters rotate in opposite directions, their energies cancelling so drive vibration is countered before it can reach the record; two DC motors with precious-metal brushes drive them.
Speed held in closed loop
Closed-loop speed monitoring with Hall-effect sensing, optical I/O, and dual motor tachometers makes sixty corrections per rotation.
Isolation by design
Dual hydraulically isolated inverted bearings with precision ceramic balls, copper-composite platters, and a fully floating suspension on 317 Viton/silicone O-rings keep the structure's contribution to a minimum.

From the independent record
- Review“In short, these products represent the most honest, authentic LP playback performance I've experienced in my five decades in and around this industry.” — Greg Weaver, pt.AUDIOIndependent review.

Questions we hear in the listening room
Why two counter-rotating platters?
Counter-rotation is Kronos's method of opposing the platter's rotational reaction mechanically rather than letting it reach the record. The two platters' energies cancel each other by design.
Perpetual or Discovery?
Discovery is the flagship: two tonearms and the exo-skeleton chassis. Perpetual exists for the listener who runs one tonearm and wants the same drive, bearing, and suspension family without the second tower. Both can be heard in our Private Listening Room.
What does the optional SCPS-P supply add?
A super-capacitor supply designed to isolate motor power from the mains, running the motors on stored charge. Its value is evaluated in the complete system.
