What matters is how completely the designer resolves the power supply, gain structure, grounding, noise, output behavior, thermal stability, circuit topology, and mechanical execution—and how that work translates when the component is asked to control a real loudspeaker in a real room.
GTT listens for transparency without thinness, speed without aggression, authority without excess weight, and tonal density without obscuring the recording. Dynamic contrasts should arrive freely. What to listen for
Listen past the first impression. Follow quiet instrumental lines through a dense passage. Notice whether voices retain body and individuality at low level. Hear whether bass notes begin, develop, and stop with recognizable pitch. Increase volume and ask whether the system grows in scale without hardening. Then return to a modest level and listen for continuity, presence, and emotional connection.
