The Discovery RS is Kronos Audio's Resonance Suppression tonearm, built to control vibrational energy at the source.
Discovery RS and Kronoscope RS, one geometry
Kronos builds two tonearms on its patented Resonance Suppression technology, the Discovery RS and the Kronoscope RS. Kronos says the aim is to control vibrational energy at the source, maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio of what the stylus recovers.
The two arms share their geometry and differ in effective mass. The Discovery RS is the higher-mass arm; the Kronoscope RS is the medium-mass arm.
What the engineering actually does
Resonance Suppression
Kronos's patented technology, used in the Discovery RS and the Kronoscope RS, to control vibrational energy at the source.

Both arms: effective length 306 mm, pivot to spindle 292 mm, overhang 13.2 mm.
Different mass
Discovery RS: medium–high effective mass, 10 kg shipping weight. Kronoscope RS: medium effective mass, 5 kg shipping weight.
